Die Polizei von Sevierville plant ein Polizeilager für Kinder

The Sevierville Police Department (SPD) has scheduled a Kids Police Camp for kids from Monday, June 19 - Friday, June 23, 2017. Camp will take place daily from 8:00AM - 4:00PM.

The purpose of Police Camp is to provide the opportunity for young men and women, 12 -14 years of age, to learn basic police skills in a SAFE, organized and structured environment.  Activities and classes will be conducted primarily at the Sevierville Police Department, with field trips planned to the Gatlinburg Sportsman's Club.

Der Lagerleiter und das Personal bestehen aus professionellen Polizeibeamten, die ausgebildete und erfahrene Ausbilder für die Strafverfolgung sind. Alle Aktivitäten im Polizeicamp werden vom Camppersonal überwacht und kontrolliert. Eltern sind herzlich willkommen und werden ermutigt, das laufende Camp nach Belieben zu besuchen.

Zu den geplanten Aktivitäten gehören Selbstverteidigung, Sicherheit im Umgang mit Schusswaffen, Funkverfahren der Polizei, Fingerabdrücke und viele andere Aufgaben der Polizeibeamten. Darüber hinaus nehmen die Camper an praktischen Übungen teil, bei denen Situationen wie das Durchsuchen von Gebäuden und das Anhalten von Fahrzeugen simuliert werden.

Registration packets for the program are currently available at the Sevierville Police Department (300 Gary R. Wade Blvd.). The camp fee is $75.00 for the week.  Applicants are required to complete the Police Camp registration form and return the last three pages (Registration; Medical Information; Immunization/release) with a $25.00 non-refundable deposit check made payable to the Sevierville Police Department.  Enrollment is limited to the first 24 applicants. If an applicant is not accepted, the full deposit will be returned and a documented explanation of the decision will be provided.
